This wild flower gets its name from the latin word for three. It has three large petals and three broad leaves. It is usually white, aging to pink or wine-red and can been seen in early spring. Trilliums were used by Native Americans as a drug to help the sick. Cumberland, Vancouver Island, BC. Canada
