Honey Bee in Gemany

Honigbiene

In Germany, bee-keepers mainly use the Carnica mellifica-mellifica-carnica race, which originates from Austria (south of the Alps), Hungary, and the Balkans. In North America, on the other hand, the Ligustica- Apis mellifica- mellifica-ligustica race is used, which originates from Italy and has yellow rings around the abdomen.
