The continued existence of the fieldfare in Germany is unstable. In southern Germany the bird developed strange behaviour when facing enemies. When a bird of prey is nearby, the fieldfare nose-dives and splashes the enemy with excrement to chase it away. Utting/Ammersee, Germany
