Larus atricilla

Laughing Gull

Aztekenmöve

Laughing Gulls are a coastal species and only occasionally seen very far inland. Look for them in plowed fields, garbage dumps, parking lots, and shorelines. The Laughing Gull's English name is derived from its raucous kee-agh call, which sounds like a high-pitched laugh "ha... ha... ha..." Convention Centre, South Padre Island, Texas, USA
