Ursus americanus

Black Bear

Schwarzbär

Black bears live in forests and mountain woods across most of Canada. They can be seen at any time of the day or night. They are agile tree climbers, whether for food or protection. Although the Black Bear is classified as a carnivore, its diet mainly consists of vegetation. The bear digs its claws into the trunk while climbing up. Naka Creek, Vancouver Island, BC. Canada
