Eurasian Badger

Dachs

The badger prefers deciduous and mixed forests, where he digs the ground to make a den in the southern slopes. His underground den contains a network of tunnels, which end in a chamber that can be up to 5m deep. In the upper levels, the badger's den is often shared by the fox. Two young badgers leaving their den. Utting/Ammersee, Germany
