Northwestern Crow

Rabenkrähe

The Absaroka are a tribe of Native Americans who lived historically in the Yellowstone River Valley. Absarokee means "children of the large-beaked bird." White explorers misunderstood the signature of the absarokee - the flapping of one's hand like a bird in flight - and called the tribe the "Crow".
